Ambx and Optical Speaker System? - does anyone make a speaker system for the phillips go gear mp3 player
Hey guys,
I have a Mac Pro with multiple audio ports on the front and back. I need a sound system and a Sony Philips amBX optical 5.1-channel surround sound. Can I be both at the same time, if you get the sound and light dipping amBX surround speakers?

I'm pretty sure that your Mac Pro is equipped with an optical output connection, are assuming that this is the case, then I would be a fiber optic cable on the new Sony 5.1 surround sound. Most receivers also have a Dolby Digital optical output that can connect to your PC speakers. The optical output, the signal passing through your Mac Pro
If you want to listen to Phillips, simply lower the volume on the Sony (this has no effect on the optical output of the Sony). If you want to hear that Sony will turn up the volume in the Phillips and then increase the volume on your Sony.
It is so easy.
Now, if for some reason, Sony does not have an optical output, you would prefer to use an optical power SWizard, which will require some additional optical cable so I hope Sony has the optical output.
